There are two things about Blast Works that make it worth your money. First, it’s a great shooter, with the ability to grab enemies and use them as shields. The second is creating your own levels and offering them for download through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. $19.99

Zack and Wikiare a treasure-hunting duo, that you help solve puzzles and hunt for riches. Use the game’s motion-sensitive controls to cut down a tree or turn cranks to activate switches. The game’s unique puzzles will keep your mind sharp and entertained for weeks. $16.48

Don’t have a cow, man, because The Simpsons Game is actually good. Considering there isn’t a Mario Tennis for the Wii (at least, not yet), Sega Superstars Tennis is a suitable alternative. You’ll select from classic Sega characters, including Sonic the Hedgehog, and attempt to ace your opponents. Themed courts as well as unique challenges, such as dodging police (Jet Set Radio) and battling zombies (House of the Dead) make this an essential gift for Sega fans. This game also comes with added benefit — it’ll get you off the couch and swinging the motion-sensored Wii remote like a pro. $17.67 (Used)

In this beloved horror adventure, you control Leon Kennedy as he blasts through a twisted barrage of enemies, using motion-sensitive controls. The graphics look great too, especially when you blast some poor sap’s head off. Spine-chilling surprises, an army of freaks and many cool weapons make Resident Evil 4 one of the Wii’s best. $19.99

Namco Museum Remix offers the best of both worlds; classic arcade favorites and fun new “remixed” games. There’s something for everyone, whether you race as Pac-Man in the new Rally-X or destroy bad guys in Dig-Dug. $19.99

If you intend to give someone a digital gift, we recommend World of Goo. For $15, you direct blobs of goo from one part of a level to another. Figuring out how to solve these puzzles will keep you up late, and the multiplayer mode is gooey icing on the cake. Better still, the crazy presentation looks like a Tim Burton film. Go ahead and explore this World. $15

Geometry Wars began on the Xbox 360, but Wii owners reaped the benefits with the must-have Geometry Wars Galaxies. There are literally hundreds of planets to explore, each with individual shoot-em-up challenges and enemies that become increasingly difficult to beat. The control scheme is marvelous, as you can use either motion controls or the Classic Controller to destroy everything in sight. These Galaxies demand exploration. $19.99
